1964 Ford Falcon

GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1964 Ford Falcon Convertible for purchase. The Falcon was Ford's first “compact car” they ever produced that boasted about good fuel economy (30 mpg with 6 cylinder models) and enough room to fit the family in. The sales for this first generation car were a huge success, and proved to Ford that bigger wasn't always better. This helped Ford greenlight the Mustang which shared a lot of the mechanics of the early Falcon.

A redesign in 1964 brought about the second generation of the Falcon. Ford added a Sprint Package, which gave the Falcon the 260 V8, a stiffer suspension, and a louder exhaust. It was certainly aimed at the younger market, but the Mustang had a lock on that. So the Sprint was only produced in 1964 & 1965 making it a rare collector's item.

This '64 Falcon Sprint Convertible was originally from Colorado and restored about ten years ago. It's powered by the 260 Windsor V8 engine paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. It features power disc brakes, bucket seats, dual exhaust, 3.25 rear axle, padded dash, aftermarket stereo system, power convertible top, and much more!
