Chrysler and Dodge are synonymous with American Muscle. There special programs, impact colors, wild designs, model and sub model names at the time put them at the top of the heap when it came to peoples choice. The Dodge Dart, dodges most simple and long running model, was on the receiving end of performance upgrades and marketing ploys. Many people remember the Dart and its most practical and reliable engine, the slant six. However, when the Dart sub models such as the GT, Demon, Swinger and GTS started showing up in showrooms across America, the performance minded public took notice. These limited production sub models of the Dart, are still revered today as the represented a time when what won on Sunday at drag strips and tracks across America, sold on Monday in the showrooms.
Just out of a private collection, We are please to offer this 1969 Dodge Dart GTS or consideration. This selectively restored car still remains in the same configuration the day it sold new with its 340-4 barrel 275hp engine, heavy duty 4-speed transmission, GTS package, Copper Metallic over Black Interior. The car remains optioned with bucket seats, console 4 speed shifter, black vinyl top, roof drip rail moldings, wide sill molding, Music Master AM radio, and transverse r/t stripe.
According to the owner: the car retains is numbers matching engine, 4-speeed manual transmission, drive train and original factory sheet metal. Mechanically, this Dart GTS runs out very strong, fast, shifts great and stops straight. The presentation is excellent with its copper metallic paint showing over all excellent, the interior with buckets and console remain in wonderful condition all topped off with the GTS hood, R/T Stripe and dog dish hub caps.
Flex your muscles in this 1969 Dodge Dart 340 / 4-speed. Other highlights include jack, spare headers, newer exhaust and Sun Super tach II. The car comes documented with original broadcast sheet, original fender tag, and all numbers appear to be in place.
