Large horsepower integrated with a lightweight tubular chassis and sexy hand built aluminum body, With a partnership of AC Motorcars and Ford, Shelby's AC 427 Cobra thundered onto the scene in 1965 offering a big block, high horse power edition over the already popular 289 small block version that came on scene two years prior. To this day, the look, sound, power and feel of the Cobra remains on the bucket list of many motoring enthusiasts and with original examples far exceeding 7 figures in value, small independent manufacturing companies began building replica versions of the Cobra and for over 20 years, Factory Five has been on top of the game in building the highest quality Cobra component car kits.

The car is powered by a Ford 455 cubic inch stroker big block fortified with SCAT crank kit, Competition Cam “Xtreme Energy” with hydraulic lifters, big port Cobra Jet head with stainless valves and all hardened seats for unleaded fuel, Edelbrock Performer NASCAR aluminum intake, Holley 750 CFM dual feed aluminum carburetor, MSD ignition Kit 6AL-2 box with Distributor, coil and wires. Previous owner states that this combination produces 507 HP and a face ripping 505 ft lbs of torque at 4750 RPM. All this power is transferred by its Tremec TKO 500 5 speed transmission, Ford racing billet steel flywheel, 11 inch Hayes clutch and delivered to the rear wheels by its Ford 9 inch rear end with Richmond Ring Gear and Pinion 3.55:1 Ratio. After approximately 3800 miles on this quality build, the car remains excellent in all areas. The paint and body are excellent and still appear as new, the interior is excellent, engine and engine bay very tidy and clean clean underside. Other features include Classic style bucket seats, single roll bar, wind wings, VDO gauges, classic Shelby style shifter, Excellent red paint with white stripes, jack hooks, headers and side pipes, and Halibrand style wheels. Recent services include newer starter, newer battery, newer waterpump and new radiator. Our test drive revealed a powerful, well sorted Cobra that delivers the driving thrill one would expect.
