We are pleased to offer this thoroughly enjoyed, 3 owner, fully documented, well cared for 1976 Porsche 911s Targa for all to consider. The car was purchased new April 1st, 1976, at Autohaus Stegelmann KG Volkswagen – Porsche, Bad Salzuflen, W. Germany. Records indicate that the car was driven, driven, cared and dealer serviced by the original owner until 1987 and 193919 Kilometers. The car then change hands to a US Serviceman who was stationed in Bamberg W. Germany. The car was used sparingly until he treated the car to a full mechanical and selective cosmetic restoration while still stationed in Bamberg between 2000 and 2002 and at 202, 000 kilometers. The car made it over to the United States shortly after that and was purchased by its most recent owner at 242, 520 kilometers, on which the car continued its history of enjoyment, regimented service and responsible ownership until our recent acquisition. As a result, this 1976 Porsche 911 S Targa remains in wonderful condition cosmetically as well as exceptional mechanically. The car is presented in its original 908-9-2 Grand Prix White over Black leather Interior with Navy Carpeting color combination. Highlights include: Sport Seats, 16 Inch Fuchs, Newer Tires, Excellent dash and interior, the interior appears highly original, very nice older paint, a very tidy engine compartment, clean original underside, excellent trim, professionally installed Alpine Stereo with indash CD and MP3 player, two Targa tops, spare, original tools, good glass etc.
The car has received excellent service history since being purchased including all the upgrades that people look for when purchasing these cars. Recent service history includes: 2005: full transmission rebuild, 2006 (248332km): new plugs, cap, rotor, Pertronix, valve covers, new battery, oil service, new oil cooler lines, chain tensioner upgrade, pop off valve, shift linkage. 2007: plugs, wires, Bilstein shocks and struts, Turbo tie rod ends. 2008 (258771km) Suspension Rebuild. 2009: washer pump 2010 (261579km) oil service with premium fluids, 2012 (266001km) full oil service with premium fluids, valve adjustment. 2012 (266146km) Reseal main seal, oil cooler seal, thermostat and oil pressure switch. 2013 (67233) Oil service with premium fluids, new fuel tank, new fuel pump. 2014 Brakes, rear caliper rebuild, new shifter bushings, 2015(270145 km) full oil service with premium fluids.
