The Imperial went on to its third generation model and shared a unibody platform just as the rest within the Chrysler lineup but retained its unique bodyshell with its overall straight-line, sharp-edged theme. The model changed more on the inside than the out which they did in order to avoid the model looking to similar to the competition, the Lincoln, and more in its own market. A base Imperial model, simply called Imperial, returned for the first time since 1963 and held two trim levels, the Crown and the LaBaron. Although previously the Crown was strictly the convertible, the Crown name was now changed more towards a feature list but the Imperial still kept the convertible option alive and was made back into a four-door pillared sedan since 1960. There were a couple spin off packages like the “TNT” edition which promised more power and added the once-standard dual exhaust but the market was moving towards another change soon and the Imperials third generation only lasted two years until the “fuselage look” was released in 1969.

GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this two-owner, 1967 Chrysler Imperial for your consideration. With the current owner's family, this car was first purchased by them in 1972 and was kept close to the family since. With many ambitions to bring this car back to its original look after it had sat for a few years, the current owner was focused on making sure it was in running order which after a couple thousand spent it was back to making its way down the road! We are told that the original engine and transmission have been brought back to life and with the 440 V8 engine, its sure to have a great deal of power to enjoy by its next owner! The interior is all original and hosts a very unique color combination sure to catch the eye, the vinyl roof is still in good condition and although the body could use some work, it's clear to see the potential that this vehicle has to offer! With many receipts and even the original bill of sale from when the current owners' family purchased it in 1972, this is a great find for those who love the old Mopar cars and want to make it into their own! Work completed already includes new brakes all around and new power front discs, new belts, new hoses, a new coil and a fresh set of white wall tires. Call us for more information on this opportunity!
