Most 40 series Land Cruisers were built as 2-door vehicles with slightly larger dimensions than a Jeep CJ. The Land Cruisers are the longest running model line in Toyota history known for their go anywhere capabilities and rigorous testing.

The 1974 Toyota FJ 40 offered here originated in the automotive climate friendly area of Tucson Arizona. In 2001 the truck was purchased, relocated to Montana and treated to a complete mechanical and cosmetic restoration. At this time, the truck was stripped to bare metal, the motor, transmission and running gear was completely rebuilt and fortified accordingly. All componentry, suspension parts etc. were rebuilt / resurfaced accordingly. This FJ 40 remains uncut and features factory sheet-metal and floors throughout. It is finished in factory color, Dune Beige. Since, the vehicle has been used and enjoyed at a seasonal property, stored indoors, and consistently cared for. As a result, this FJ40 stands as a premium example for the brand. Upgrades include: Weber carb, header, newer exhaust, custom roof rack, spot lights, spare tire, etc. Mechanically, this FJ40 is fully sorted and ready for immediate enjoyment. There is a large file of service receipts and paperwork documenting the restoration.
