GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1994 Mazda RX-7 Touring for purchase. The Mazda RX-7 is an amazing achievement in technology and is one of the few cars from the era that are actually worth remembering. This was the first mass-produced sequential twin-turbocharger system. It was introduced in 1992 and is a very complex piece of engineering. The system was (of course) composed of two turbochargers, one to provide boost at low RPM. The second unit was on standby until the upper half of the rpm range during full throttle acceleration. The first turbocharger provided 10 psi (0.7 bar) of boost from 1800 rpm, and the second turbocharger was activated at 4000 rpm and also provided 10 psi (0.7 bar). The changeover process occurred at 4500 rpm, 8 psi (0.6 bar), was smooth, and provided linear acceleration and a wide torque curve throughout the entire rev range. This car was advanced so much that the details are perhaps confusing until you get behind the wheel. What you find quickly in to the driving experience is a very nimble, quick car that is maybe the best responding car you'll ever drive. While the technology may be complex, the fun isn't.
This is a very special 1994 RX-7 in excellent condition with great curb appeal in the rarely found Montego Blue factory color. It is a one-owner car delivered new to Ralph Thayer Mazda in Monroe, Michigan. Meticulous care was used for this car with low miles driven only during the summer months and stored otherwise. The Touring package includes leather seating, BOSE acoustic wave sound system with CD player, power glass moonroof, rear wiper/washer, and upgraded sound insulation. This car also features a 5-speed manual transmission with overdrive, 4-wheel double wishbone suspension, power 4-wheel ventilated disc brakes, air conditioning, drilled aluminum clutch & brake pedals, power assisted rack & pinion steering, and power windows. This is truly an incredible example of the RX-7 supercar. It's the one-owner almost all original car collector's look for! Please call or email for more details!
