Willys-Overland Motor Company began their Willy coupe in 1937 with mostly traditional styling and as the company continued along it gradually evolved to a very similar look to its competition, the Ford DeLuxe. This changed names to Americars as most companies began to aim their marketing plans towards a more patriotic angle. Their biggest downfall was their poor 4-cylinder engines which ended up needing replacing frequently and became a prime target for those into the hot rods. Many turned these into their own projects and made them into racing machines, rat rods and everything in between and to this day the Willys holds a special spot in the hot rod world because of this. It became such a favorite that today a 100% stock Americar is a very rare find.

With 8-1 forged pistons, two 4-barrel 750 Holly carburetors, SS Manly valves, 10 degree Molly retainers and locks, 225 intake SS Valves and more, the list of upgrades and mechanical specifications list is too long to go through! It's clear looking through the list of parts and pieces no expense was spared when creating this monster but with intentions to sell, the current owner has completed this all the way to primer. The fiberglass body comes from Antique and Collectibles, the hood is powered as a one-piece forward tilt with electric actuators, American wire electrical kit, Dolphin gauges, Vintage Vibes radio with speakers, Vintage air and American Racing Mag wheels. With a few of the pieces needed to finish this model included within the sale of this great ride we also have all door and rear glass with rubber rim for rear, A/C and heater hoses, chrome horns with wiring already pre-installed, exhaust chrome tips to fit the body, emergency brake arm, power window motors and track, Willys chrome badging and more!
