1978 Alfa Romeo 2000 Spider Veloce

Pleased to bring to market after only logging 778 miles since a nicely restored project was finished less than 2 years ago on this fairly rare Spider 2000. The Spider convertible has been solid little vehicle for Alfa since the 60's and with all the tweaks and mild changes throughout the long life of these sporty cars. With just over 124k total cars produced in the series, these are becoming more collectible with each year that goes by. Powered by a spirited 4cyl 2000, that was capable of cranking out 131HP marked these as fierce competitors in the European sport/touring market. The stylish lines that could only be achieved by the Italian designers along with the sexy curves, gave many Americans seeking these for their weekend cruisers.

Delivered new out of Grand Prix Motors in Seattle, WA to a gentleman from the local area in June of 1978. The car is believed to have spent its entire life in that region till 2012 where it was sold to an Alfa enthusiast out of California where he took the next 2+ years restoring the car and to bring it back to its original glory. Engine, transmission, electronics, seats, door panels, convertible top, wheels, tires, carpet, and much more were replaced, fixed or rebuilt. The car fires right up with a pull of the choke and slides into all forward gears and reverse with ease. Let it warm up a little and feel free to push this car to its limits. Plenty of power is there with this very light vehicle and the looks you will receive from fellow motorists will be endless.

Car is a pleasure to drive and admire in either capacity. Vehicle is in overall very nice condition with almost all originality in place. Vehicle comes with factory books, manuals and two sets of keys as well as a few service stamps from the selling dealer when new.
