GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1965 Ford Mustang GT Coupe for purchase. The '65 Mustang was so successful it not only created one of the most popular lines of American cars that is still running today, but also created a whole new class of automobile. The lines, accents, and styling of the first Mustangs are timelessly appealing. The GT equipment package included a V8 engine with a barrel carburetor, grille-mounted fog lamps, rocker panel stripes, disc brakes, and a different instrument panel.
This '65 Mustang GT is in excellent condition and is highly original. It looks great in its original Silver Blue factory color paint with a white vinyl top. The GT additions are great along with the Pony Package interior. It's powered by the original 289ci V8 paired with the cruise-o-matic 3-speed automatic transmission. This Mustang was assembled in the San Jose plant and delivered to a Los Angeles area dealership to be sold for the first time. It was changed to a 3.50:1 limited slip differential, but otherwise remains almost completely bone stock. This is a great time capsule piece that runs great, but also has a ton of style.
