1960 Cadillac Series 62

Eldorado translates to the meaning “The Gilded One”. It was chosen as the name of the iconic Cadillac from an internal competition celebrating the company's Golden Anniversary in 1952.

Proceeding two generations before the 1960 was the last year of the third generation Eldorado or series 62. These cars were actually assembled with the help of Italian designer Pininfarina. They featured dramatic body lines for the last two years with large rear fins and body panels that stretched a mile.

These cars have become hugely iconic and largely valuable when restored to show condition. This particular example is a perfect restoration candidate as this car is complete of all the hard to find parts and trim. The bumpers, brite work and trim is all there and in good condition as is the interior. The floors and trunk pan are in need of replacing and the mechanicals will need gone through. The owner did get the car running but the fuel system will need to be gone through. The suspension is complete but will also need attention as do the brakes. This beautiful car rolls and steers easily.

The car has been sitting since the 70's and deserves to be restored to glory.
