1973 Triumph TR6

GR Auto Gallery is proud to present this beautiful Triumph TR6. The TR6 was produced from 1968 to 1976 and featured a design contracted from Karmann. The cues allowed for the TR6 to sport squared front and back ends which were referred to as the Kamm tail which was very common in the 70's. Though most of the bodywork for the TR6 is the same as the TR5, the squaring off of the front and rear fascia's made all of the difference for the car as well as its grand sales for British Leyland.

This TR6 is presented beautifully both mechanically and cosmetically. The exterior is dressed in Carmine Red (82) with a New Tan (33) trim which brings it all together for a striking and classical British racing appearance. Under the hood is a 2.5 liter straight-six, mated to a 4 speed manual transmission with factory overdrive, capable of bringing the car from 0-60 in 8.2 seconds. The TR6 also features semi-trailing arm independent rear suspension, rack and pinion steering as well as 15-inch wheels covering disc brakes on the front and drums at the back. TR6's also came well-trimmed with pile carpet for the floors and the trunk, bucket seats, and stylish veneer dashboard.

The TR6 saw a reasonable production run for 7 years before being replaced by the TR7. The TR7 however was not seen to be quite as desirable as the TR6 due to the controversial changes to its shape and lines. The TR6 is not just a great car but also a sound investment since they have not yet fully found their value in the market yet. With a thriving TR6 community and strong aftermarket support even to this day, the TR6 is a sound choice if you are looking for just the right amount of sophisticated muscle. This TR6 comes with the original owner's manual as well as a full Tonneau cover. The soft top works great and allows for a transformation from sophisticated to sporty in mere seconds.
