1950 Ford Business Coupe

GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this custom 1950 Ford Coupe. This vehicle started life out as a 2-Door Sedan from Arizona and underwent some very tasteful customization and is now a custom Business Coupe. To capture that custom look, the top has been chopped 5 ½” in the front and 6 ½” in the rear. The deck lid and the rear body panels were massaged forward 9” and the rear taillights were frenched in 1 ½”. The front and rear bumpers are from a Lincoln and they have been narrowed 4” and tucked. The grille is custom fabricated as well as the firewall and the inner fenders.

The car features a decked 283ci small block Chevrolet V8 built by Shade Machine of Belleville, OH with milled heads, a 650cfm Edelbrock carb, Summit aluminum radiator, a custom Comp Cams camshaft, and the spent combustion fumes are expelled via Hedman headers and out through a Flowmaster exhaust. A Painless wiring harness is present as well as a 700R4 automatic transmission with a shift kit. The windows have been tinted and all the windows roll up and down. The interior is finished in a '50s style look with period correct material on the original seat frames. The frame is channeled 5” with an S-10 front clip and it is coated with POR-15.

It is finished in a ghostly Gray basecoat/clearcoat finish and is perfectly complimented with orange steel wheels with chrome dog dish hub caps on white wall tires. It runs and drives great and has a perfect hot-rod V8 sound to it. Everything except for the motor build was done at Franklin Body Shop in Mansfield, OH less than a year ago and the build sheet and receipts are available. You couldn't build this car for this price nor do you have to wait months to complete it!
