1971 Datsun 240Z

Ferrari 250 GTO re-body's for the Datsun Z-car chassis date back to the early 1980's with the original Alpha and Eagle kits. Since, as technologies advance, many companies have improved on the concept and Velorossa, in Tempe, AZ, makes the best.

The Velorossa Spyder body conversion was masterfully grafted on to a west coast, rust free, non problematic 1971 Datsun 240Z Chassis. The car is presented in Rosso Corsa Red with silver stripes, gray interior. It is powered by a 4.3 liter Chevrolet that features a hydraulic roller cam, roller rockers and hardened pushrods. It has Bowtie aluminum cylinder heads with 2.02 intake valves and 1.60 exhaust valves. All this is fed by a Holley dual feed 4 barrel carburetor via a Bowtie tunnel ram aluminum intake manifold and fired with MSD ignition generating 300 plus horsepower. The power is transferred via a 5-speed transmission and applied via Posi rear end. Other features include side exhaust, oil cooler, Rack and pinion steering, power brakes, aluminum radiator, and 4 point harnesses.
