1961 Buick LeSabre

The LeSabre has carried the title of America's best-selling full size car until is discontinuation at the end of the 2005 model year. The LeSabre has outlasted the Electra, Electra 225 and the Invicta. The LeSabre also carried the lowest base price in the Buick lineup. It was introduced to replace the Buick Special in 1959.

From 1959-1961, the LeSabre was powered by a 364 cubic-inch V8, which was smaller than the 401 cubic-inch V8 used in the more expensive Invicta and Electra models. The 364 was rated at 250 horsepower in standard form with an “economy” 235 horsepower 375 ft. lb. of torque version as seen here offered as a “no-cost” option.

This particular car finished in beautiful sun-valley cream has been lovingly cared for and maintained. Although, painted to its original color some years ago, this car still retains a wonderful gloss. The brite-work is all in tact and in good condition. The chrome bumpers are presentable, however they are showing signs of age and also appear to be original to the car.

The interior is original and for the most part is in great condition. The kick panel and door panel are showing wear from the obvious day-to-day use of the vehicle. Everything works properly and is complete.

This LeSabre starts, runs and drives perfectly with no smoke or leaks. With some paperwork a newer parts list dating back to 1992 through 2006. This is a wonderful entry-level car that can be enjoyed immediately. This car will surely be the hit at the local car shows and cruise-ins.
