Porsche set out to increase their total production and sales with the introduction of the 944. At one time the 944 was slated to replace the 911 as the executives thought it would be a better car for the masses and more friendly. Lucky for all Porsche enthusiasts this did not happen, but also the lucky person became the driver that wanted a fun, sporty, unique car without the big sticker. In 1985, Porsche introduced the 944 Turbo known internally as the 951. The Turbo had a turbocharged and intercooled version of the 944's standard engine. It was the first car using a ceramic port liner to retain exhaust gas temperature and new forged pistons while also being the first vehicle to produce identical output with or without a catalytic converter. Improved aerodynamics, a strengthened gearbox, standard external oil coolers, and a stiffer suspension were all upgrades over the standard 944.

This Porsche 944 Turbo is an awesome low-mileage find in excellent condition. This car was originally delivered in Farmington Hills, MI and we hold the original window sticker that includes these great options: cruise control, electric sunroof, sport steering wheel, partial leather front seats, 4-caliper disc brakes, limited slip differential, and Grand Prix White wheel centers.
