In 1993, they introduced the automatic transmission as an option paired with the 3.2L SHO V6. SHO's are also identified by unique seats, side cladding, dual exhaust, trunklid spoiler, Italian wheels, and different bumpers. The SHO proved to be more popular than anticipated forcing Ford to produce larger numbers and run the model line a lot longer than expected, including bringing production back in 2010 through today.
