1978 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz

Cadillac, a division of GMN produced the Eldorado from 1953 through 2002. The Eldorado a two door personal luxury car was at or near the top of the line during the early model years.

The Eldorados went through many changes over the years and by the time the 70's models rolled out, they had become an entirely different car. From 1971 through the 1978 models a few different styling changes happened but the biggest change of all was the implementation of front wheel drive on all E-body cars. Also new was the 7 liter 425 Cubic Inch V8 that took the place of the 8.2 Liter.

The only way to differentiate the model was one option package known as the Biarritz, which was the top of the line. And depending on which roof was ordered the package could cost as much as $3300 extra.

The model offered here is a one-family owned from new. Being used as a cottage vehicle and garaged its entire life. This is a highly desirable color combination with everything in working order including the factory CB radio. Although maintained, this Eldorado is showing signs of age. Rust is apparent in the front quarter panels of the vehicle as well as a few other areas of minor surface issues. The highly optioned interior is in wonderful physical and working condition showing no signs of rips or tears. The car starts runs and drives very well. This Eldorado is priced correctly based on its needs. It would make someone a great driver as is or is a great car to do a light restoration on.
