1957 Chevrolet Bel Air

The Tri-Five (55-57) Chevrolets have to be one of the most seen cars at car shows for the last 30 years. They were extremely popular when new and just as popular with collectors and cruisers today. There is a lot of bantering between which one is the better looking car, all are similar but each have there own distinction and with the 57 it is the big wings….There is no denying which one is the 57 where is the 55 and 56 look more similar. They were a sport sedan of the day offering family style seating, some luxury as well as powerful for the time V8 engines with several options. This particular largely orginal 57 has had just a couple of owners throughout its long life and has been used for most of it as a driver. The interior is original and is starting to fall apart. The body is pretty solid and strait and all the trim is in ok to fair condition but its all there. The paint is faded, some of it is original, some of it has been touched up or re-sprayed. The underside frame is solid except for the mid-body connectors are rusted through and there is a hole through spare tire area and numerous other crusty areas. A positive to this thing is it runs like a watch. It starts easily, brakes well, sounds nice and goes down the road really well. If you are looking for a drivable project this would be a fun one. All the glass is in good condition, all windows open and close, lights work, gauges work etc…. A fun cruiser.
