GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1971 Plymouth Duster 2-Door Coupe for purchase. As the Barracuda grew in dimension, the hole it left in Plymouth lineup was filled by the Duster. The Duster produced a sporty, inexpensive compact that was a lot of bang for the buck.The Plymouth Duster was introduced in 1970 was all Valiant from the cowl forward, but the rest of the car's sheet metal and door skins were completely different. The design incorporated a semi-fastback roof and a special rear valance with twin horizontal taillights with out bezels. It was built to compete with the slightly smaller Ford Maverick and the slightly larger Chevrolet Nova.
The '71 offered here is powered by a 383 V8 that is bored.0030 over with 1500 miles on rebuild with an Edelbrock daul stage aluminum manifold, Holley 750 carburetor, Engle Cam, Tube Technologies headers with 3 inch collectors with cutouts, 3 core radiator. The 727 Torqueflight automatic transmission has a manual shift kit with a 2500 stall converter. Other highlights include power steering, bucket seats, tachometer, Centerline wheels. This Duster is ready to burn rubber.
