1969 Chevrolet Camaro

The first generation of Camaro built from 1967 through 1969 was an American Pony car built upon a brand new F-body platform by GM that was also shared with the Pontiac Firebrid. What may be surprising to some is that the Camaro was also built in Switzerland, Phillipines, Belgium, Venezuela and Peru and were offered around the globe. Here in the US they were built in Norwalk, OH or Van Nuys, CA. The initial engine offerings were light but by the time the second year hit, they were offered with a plethora of engine and trim options. This Camaro which was pretty high up in the Muscle car world still demands some serious following, especially the 1969 Model years. The Camaro we are pleased to present here, based on the cowl tag was a SS 396 car originally and at some point was turned in to Z-28 clone. Pictures of the trim tag and VIN are in the pictures for you to decipher the car how you want. What we do know is that the engine is a 1969 4-bolt 350 Cubic Inch V8 out of a Corvette. It has a forged crank, S/R Heads, roller tipped rockers, solid lifter Z-28 camshaft, 8 quart oil pan mated to a M22 4-speed and a 12-bolt rear axle and a 3.73 gear. The car has been repainted to its original LeMans Blue. This is a really nice driver quality car that gets the business! This thing runs, drives, shifts and stops very nicely. The Interior is in very good condition with working shift lock for steering column. Tires and brakes are good and the car has had a thorough once over in recent days. Real Z-28's are bringing six figures, this car is less than half of that and every bit of fast, plus you don't have to be afraid to drive it.
