1953 Willys Jeep CJ3B

The long history of the Jeep and Willys brand is very impressive and several variations to this proven 4x4 over the years makes these highly sought after and impressive on any terrain you went after. These were developed for the military and then civilian/agriculture work throughout its life cycle.

This very nicely restored Willys CJ 3B with the F4 Hurricane 4cyl engine is one of the best of the early models. More power and torque for the driver and even had the ability to almost achieve 100 KPH on the road. The iconic taller hood was a dead giveaway for this engine setup from the previous CJ 3A version. This is a much more valuable setup and still considered part of the flat-fender family of the Willys. Vehicle was produced in Toledo, Ohio and found its way down to Costa Rica at some point where it was treated to a full restoration from top to bottom and in remains in fabulous condition.

This military grade vehicle has been brought up to strong standards in condition and originality but the military decals and accessories were left off to provide the next owner a blank sleight on how they would like to dress this one up. It shows and drives incredibly well with brand new Marshall Road Venture tires that are mounted on 16in steel painted wheels that match the paint job. The Willys fires up with a simple turn of the key and moves quickly thru the 3spd manual transmission. The 4x4 setup gives you a high and low range and also the ability to select the front axle lock out for the serious off roader. Just over 14 miles on this Jeep since the restoration and all features seem to be working properly along with headlights (hi & lo), horn, turn signals, dash lights, and dash gauges. The side mounted 'Jerry Can' and spare complete the look. Front and rear seatbelts are also installed so you can really get aggressive on the trails or road and not fear of falling out.

The exterior paint is painted extremely well and the bikini style top is brand new with all new hardware and braces. The interior has brand new matching seat cushions and complete the look.
