1975 Triumph Spitfire

Italian designed, British Engineered….It was to compete in the small sports car market that had opened up with the introduction of the Austin Healey Sprite. The Spitfire had started in 1964 and was built through 1980 in several variants, the last being the 1500 model from 1974 onward. A total of over 95,000 were built in that time. Although, they only produced a whopping 53 HP, they were very agile and are quite fun to drive. Many of these cars were used up, are rusted away in a field somewhere or have been used for parts on other projects. This Spitfire however is one of the nicest ones I have seen or definitely the nicest one our facility has had the chance of selling. The last owner did a fantastic job of paint, interior and mechanicals. The paint shined up extremely well, the chrome is very nice, there is no rust or rot and the car was used on many British reliability runs as well as local tours, shows and parades. This was definitely a pride and joy. This Spitfire, runs, drives and stops very well, the convertible top is in fully functional with boot cover and tonneau as well. There is a factory hard-top that can be sourced for an additional fee and is not in quite the condition as this car is. The collector car market is hard to access under $15,000 especially a car that is ready to be enjoyed or showed.
