GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1964 Ford Galaxie 500 “Z” Code Convertible for purchase. Ford Motor Company used names for cars that would spark interest during in the big space race. With names like Comet, Meteor, Falcon, Thunderbird, the name “Galaxie” was a perfect fit for the full size car. The Galaxie was produced from 1959 to 1974.
1964 was the 4th and final year of this body style. This clean full size muscle car is powered by its 390 v8 paired to an automatic transmission. The car runs and handles well. Cosmetically, the car shows well and the power top works well. The car has been owned by its current owner for 3 years and before that it resided in Michigan for many, years and was only driven on dry occasions. According to the owner, the car is believed to be on its 3rd owner and all original.
