The 1998 year of the Camaro featured a number of changes that modernized and improved the 4th generation. Featuring the brand new LS1 5.7L V8 engine with aluminum block, the new new engine helped save weight. A new fascia changed with a new grill and modernized headlights. The suspension was revised and the brakes were upsized. Total production for 1998 was just 48,495 units

Featuring the powerful 305hp LS1 V8 engine as a base, according to the owner that engine upgrades brought the motor to a dyno'd 380 hp. This coupled with it's 4-speed automatic transmission, this Camaro is an easy and powerful cruiser. The V8 starts right up and pulls well towards redline with shifts happening quickly and at the right time. The aftermarket quad exhausts really amplify the glorious V8 sound. The current owner has had the car for ten years and has kept up with maintenance. The cars black exterior paint shows very well with even finish. The convertible top is tight and doesn't leak. The interior is very clean apart from a bit of wear on the seat bolsters as well as a window switch that is functional but a bit out of alignment. The dashboard is very clean and has perfect instrumentation and no cracks. The car has power windows, power top, power brakes, power locks, air conditioning and heater, original paperwork and two sets of keys. Chrome wheels show well and the tires have good tread left.
