1932 Essex Sedan

Essex was a brand of automobile produced by the Essex Motor Company between 1918 and 1922 and then again by the Hudson Motor Company of Detroit between 1922 and 1932.

During the production run, the Essex was considered a small car and was affordably priced. The company was most notably credited with starting to tend away from the open touring car design and more toward the closed passenger automobile design.

Proving not only affordable but durable and reliable, their capabilities were checked upon and confirmed by AAA and the US Postal service. In 1919 a Essex completed a 50-hour, 3,037 mile endurance test in Ohio, at an average speed of 60.75 miles per hour. In addition it captured many hill climb records.

The Essex that we are presenting here is a modified car using all steel body panels that have been altered in some areas. This car was built by a career body man and was done lovingly over the course of a couple years. Unfortunately the builder of the car has passed and not much info is given. The car runs, drives and stops very well.

This car has a GM 350 Cubic inch engine, Automatic trans, Mustang II front end that has been built to be driven. All electronics are in good working order, has aftermarket cruise control set up and tires and brakes are all in good condition.

This unique car is ready to be enjoyed and driven.
